“what more could you ask for?”

Tom is currently writing about himself in the third person, which may seem odd, but as an independent freelancer, it’s far from uncommon for me - ahem, I mean, Tom - to do things for himself. For instance, making this website, which he has ZERO experience in. But that doesn’t stop him - he’s a problem solver by trade and absorbs every little unknown, piecing the solution together until the story is told. He also doesn’t take himself too seriously a lot of the time, preferring laceless shoes over oxfords and food trucks over three-course meals.

Alright, enough talking about myself.

I’ve made a lot of friends in the field, and the honest truth is, I CAN’T do it all by myself, and I’m grateful to be connected to so many other talented, awesome people that also like to mix work and fun together.

So, I asked them to write some stuff about me…

“What I can say is his restaurant picks are spot-on. The guy’s basically a part-time food critic. No praise here. Just... delicious facts.”

- Scott Miller, Cinemotion, LLC

“He has an ability to see things that others often miss, and more importantly – makes sure the camera is pointed that way at the same time.”

- Stephen Barrante, Co-Founder, Atomic Kid Studios

“Tom’s authenticity and creativity really know no bounds.  And this doesn’t just apply to his photography and editing. It’s pretty much his approach to life. An example:  He was invited to a meatball cook-off for his son’s friends and their parents. Naturally, he decided to make duck meatballs. But there was no ground duck at his local grocery store…. So he found a place where he could buy an entire duck. He figured out how to grind the meat himself – spent like a day doing it – and made the meatballs. I’m pretty sure he won the contest.”

-Christina DeFranco-Taylor, Danolas Productions

"I once spent 10 hours outside on a freezing cold day in New York City with Tom. It was miserable. I can't imagine how much worse it would have been to be holding a camera that whole time. But the video we made together got 50 million views, so I guess it was worth it, and he didn't drop the camera once!"

- Zach Anner, Comedian

Aren’t they GREAT? Blessed. Truly, blessed. And no, I didn’t win that meatball contest. Nobody’s perfect.
